Bachelor of Science in Logistics Management

This distance learning program, which is offered in a collaboration between Fraunhofer IML and EuroFH Hamburg, is aimed both at people working in the field of logistics and at new entrants to the profession who are looking to acquire their first academic logistics qualification. The Bachelor of Science in Logistics Management excels in its presentation of key business skills and its strong focus on logistics technologies and their applications.

Variation Management

The demand for customized and sustainable system solutions is growing tremendously in almost all market segments. More systematic and strategic approaches for managing the necessary product variants are required and available. To meet theese challenges the Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering IESE offers a three day seminar in Variation Management with a focus on information systems in product lines.

Value Stream Engineering

Participants learn how optimized value stream-oriented production works by studying the value stream engineering methods developed by the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO. These methods can be used to simultaneously make production systems efficient and individualized, ultimately resulting in optimization of the production chain.

Lean Logistics

Companies today face increasing challenges through changing customer requirements, fluctuating markets and rising cost pressures. Lean Management in this context is an appropriate solution to respond to the needs and wishes of different customers. The seminar Lean Logistics starts June 2014 and is offered by the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS and the Fraunhofer Academy.

Inventory Management

The seminar on inventory management shows how the optimal inventory level both within the company as well as between companies can be analyzed and attained by new methods. The three-day seminar is offered by the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML and the Fraunhofer Academy and is offered to those interested in the fields of industry and commerce.

Human-Robot Interaction

Only available in German.

By combining the advantages of humans and robots, collaborating robots are the means of choice to be able to flexibly and efficiently produce sinking batch sizes of the required quality. Uncertainties arise from the rapid development of new safety sensors, changes in standardization and new types of hardware and software. The seminar teaches the legal basics of human-robot cooperation and demonstrates the advantages of HRI for the plant operator based on practical examples.
