YOUR BENEFITS AT A GLANCE
  • Practical orientation: The entire training is characterized by a high degree of practice-oriented work. Each participant works continuously on his or her own training project and is given plenty of room for practical implementation and practice, as everyone can also slip into the role of a trainer.
  • Exchange of experience: In addition to teaching, the focus is also on interactivity during the training. In group work, participants have many opportunities to exchange ideas, work together on content and develop solutions.
  • Community-Building: Our certified Scientific Trainers stay in contact even after the completion of the training. After successful completion of the exam, all graduates automatically become part of our CST alumni network.
  • From science for science: In this continuing education program, scientific aspects are given special importance. Scientifically based knowledge is passed on here to you, people working in science - in accordance with the principle "from science for science".
  • Emergence of innovative continuing education programs: After completing the program, the newly acquired knowledge will enable you to plan and develop your own continuing education programs. If you would like to gain insight into projects, please contact us.
  • Transfer: This certificate program helps professionalize the continuing education transfer path and create new transfer opportunities:
    • Support: The CST provides support to plan and build professional development training.
    • Enable: The CST facilitates the exchange and networking of continuing education actors at different Fraunhofer institutes and partner universities
    • Shaping: The CST helps to shape the Fraunhofer continuing education landscape and leads to more competent trainers.

CERTIFICATION

Participants can obtain a personnel certificate upon completing the “Scientific Trainer (Foundation Level)” continuing education program. Details can be found at the Fraunhofer Personnel Certification Authority site.

After successful completion of the training, the participants receive a confirmation of participation.

In addition, they have the opportunity to graduate with a certificate recognized by the personal certification authority according to the specifications of EN ISO 17024. Furthermore, the quality is checked by an examiner from the Professional Association for Training, Consulting and Coaching (BDVT) as part of the final examination.

This double certification (personal certification authority & BDVT) has the advantage that, in addition to internal visibility, it also acts as a seal of quality for the training at the customer with regard to the training and the trainer.

The certification manual that this is based on can be found here (in German).

Participants' and Managements' Statement

Continuing education is becoming part of the business model at many institutes, and well-trained trainers help to ensure professionally conveyed content to customers from industry. [...] Personally, I think the course is great for my qualification as a trainer: it allows me to optimize my current approach and create an even better experience for learners." (Viktor Deleski, Fraunhofer Academy)

"The training takes the necessary time to teach me all the skills I need to design and deliver a training. The online version of the training itself is a great example of what a varied and interactive online training should look like. The frequent interactive use of the Miro Board in the online training really excited me and inspired me to improve my PowerPoint-heavy training." (Stefan Dziwok, Fraunhofer IEM)

"With the CST, the Academy proves once again: (online) learning is fun! Why? Varied, entertaining, lots of methodical-didactic input, plenty of room to try things out, constructive exchange, pleasant group atmosphere - and above all: competent, motivating and approachable trainers who provide all that." (Nadja Hildebrandt, Fraunhofer IGB)

"Highly recommended! I found the content of the CST training to be very enriching. The content went hand in hand with the practical implementation in the online format. You learn a lot of practical methods. Thank you for your know-how, the recognition of needs and the human interaction!"            (Khadija Khaled, Freiburg University)

"I learned a lot not only from the content and methods, but especially from the delivery and presence of the trainers. Best continuing education I've ever had!" (Anonymous)

"Rarely have I been so enthusiastic about a training course. Methodology, conception, rhetoric, resilience, and so much more. Here you get a complete toolbox with which all challenges of your own training concepts can be managed. Thank you very much!" (Peter Molitor, Fraunhofer IRB)

Martin Priester, Provisional Head of the Fraunhofer Academy:

"The best advertisement for the Fraunhofer Academy are enthusiastic graduates. Our Certified Scientific Trainers know how to develop continuing education courses in such a way that exactly this can be achieved."

Prof. Dr. Görge Deerberg, Speaker of the Board of Directors

"The CST enables participants to open up new transfer opportunities through continuing education and supports them in designing and delivering them in a high-quality manner."

Dr.-Ing. Sophie Hippmann, Director 1A:

"Market-oriented training is an important transfer path for Fraunhofer. As Certified Scientific Trainers, dedicated Fraunhofer employees play an essential role in knowledge transfer."

Overall evaluation:

  • 100% of the participants would recommend the Certified Scientific Trainer program
  • the participants rate the training with 4.6 out of 5 stars
