Composite Engineer | Certificate Course

Fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP)

This offering combines the expertise of the leading institutes of the Fraunhofer Society in the field of lightweight construction research in a modular continuing education program to become a »Composite Engineer«. The continuing education program qualifies employees to oversee the entire product life cycle of a component made from fiber-reinforced materials, from product development to manufacturing and repair.

After completing this program, you will be able to...

  • ... select and evaluate components that meet component requirements.
  • ... apply and evaluate rules of component design.
  • ... assess high-quality manufacturing methods for FRP components.
  • ... professionally instruct manufacturing and repair processes.
  • ... assess common methods for testing FRP components.
  • ... evaluate current recycling concepts for FRP components.
