Eight-Week Course for Adhesive Technology Decision-Makers

In order to leverage the advantages of adhesive bonding technology in industrial practice and gain a competitive edge, qualified personnel are required. Experts must be familiar with and understand the special features of adhesive bonding as a joining technology.

Fraunhofer IFAM offers an eight-week course called “Adhesive Bonding Engineer,” which trains technical decision-makers to think and act in an interdisciplinary manner, make responsible decisions, and manage requirements throughout the entire product life cycle.

After completing this course, you will...

... be qualified as a DVS®-EWF-European Adhesive Engineer – EAE (European Adhesive Engineer) to take on the role of responsible adhesive supervisor in your company. You will be able to handle all adhesive-related matters, from product development and manufacturing to repairs.

... master the entire range of adhesive technology matters, from product development to manufacturing and repair.

... fully meet the requirements of DIN EN ISO 9001 regarding highly qualified personnel for the responsible management of “special processes” by completing further training to become a European Adhesive Engineer.

  • Day 1 of each week: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Days 2–4 of each week: 8:15 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Day 5 (exam day): 8:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 

admission requirements

Passed final examination (bachelor's degree or higher) at a university, technical college, or university of applied sciences in engineering or natural sciences. Interested parties who do not meet these requirements may participate as guest students.

Upon passing the exam, you will receive a certificate of participation, which is recognized as an equivalent qualification for company certification according to DIN 2304, DIN 6701, EN 17460, ISO 21368, and TL A-0023. Proficiency in the language of instruction.
