Curriculum

What you will learn

Our program is comprised of eight main modules, covering core areas of digitalisation in healthcare. Candidates will begin the program with the introductory module and can then select transversal skills, technology or management modules, which are most applicable to their work. The learning will be structured to address three central needs:

Leadership

To successfully lead a digital health strategy in your hospital you will need understanding of the economics of implementing digitalisation: cost savings and service improvements. You will also need understanding of the project management methodologies used to implement these programmes. We will equip you with the necessary tools to take on this leadership role.

 

Understanding

There are many elements of digital transformation: new technology and new processes for using it. Healthcare professionals need to understand what changes may be proposed and make appropriate recommendations for how these can be implemented in their area.

 

 

Transformation

Through our real world scenarios showing implementation across a range of specialities, you will be able to see what challenges lie along the way and how new technologies have been used to provide improved patient care.

Empowering health professionals with management tasks to act as multipliers in proactively shaping digital transformation in healthcare through organizational transformation in hospitals using agile approaches.

Technology Module

Smart assistance systems

Smart Machines, such as surgical robots, steerable endoscopes and care robots are making their way into the clinics. We expect to see more and more of those devices acquire a certain degree of autonomy. The advent of these systems will change the profession. It will be challenging for healthcare professionals but it will also introuce new opportunities.

Security of computerised systems in healthcare

Train healthcare professionals, who are responsible for information systems, about cybersecurity threats, their prevention, and how to handle them.

Technology Module

Usability and user experience (UX) of medical devices

Training about the principles of user interface design in the context of the certification process of medical devices and eHealth applications.

Technology Module

Machine learning for precision medicine

Train how machine learning can help to improve diagnosis, learn to assess machine learning tools for clinical care and streamline administrative processes in hospitals.

Technology Module

Integrated healthcare

The knowledge about eHealth standards, storage and usage of data is essential for understanding the development process of eHealth applications and interoperability between different eHeath systems.
