»Cyber Security in Schools« pilot training for teachers
Playful, exciting, easy to learn - the aim of the project "Cyber Security in Schools", funded by the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT), is to make teachers fit for cybersecurity so that they can then pass on the knowledge they have acquired to their students in school.
Studies show that about half of 11-16 year olds in the EU are exposed to various internet risks. Also, research shows that more than 55% of 8-year-olds are already "online", and up to 100% of 14-year-olds and older. It is therefore important that teenagers and young adults learn to handle their data responsibly online. This includes knowing what happens to their data on the Internet, the extent to which they trust websites and how they can protect their data.
We support teachers in acquiring the necessary cybersecurity skills so that they can teach them comprehensively in their schools. The "Cyber Security in Schools" training course offers teachers of all subjects from primary school to secondary school a practical introduction based on didactically and pedagogically prepared teaching/learning materials. Special previous knowledge is not required.
