Utilization of CPS and intelligent robotics in an concret area of application
Autonomous mobile robots are expected to play an important role in modern factories. Mobile robots are complex cyber-physical systems that combine sensors, actuators as well as computing devices that enable them to reason about and interact with the environment.
The ability of these systems to reason about their environment and to select a corresponding behavior poses new challenges for evaluation and certification. On the one hand, the autonomy of these systems expands their operational envelop and make them suitable for a broad area of applications.
The module ‘In-factory Logistics using Mobile Robots’ will give an introduction in the architecture of mobile transportation robots and will detail the main building blocks of these systems.
